In September 2023, STRN6 Gallery interviewed me about my process of creating works, views on art, life principles and so on
Also in order to make the interview more engaging, I additionally created photos and videos

PART 2
THE INTERVIEW
My answer could be counted in days :))
Some of the basic principles are:
- Total openness to the new/minimise amount of frames in my mind. First, listen carefully and try to understand, then let it pass through your prism/ego. This allows to notice new ways for development/opportunities faster and not to stagnate. Any situation/object/person is always an opportunity to interpret yourself in a new way. I easily accept that I can be wrong about something and that everything can be a lesson for me, so I am open to everything. The only taboos are not to break the boundaries of others (within adequacy) and also not to harm my body and mind, so alcohol, smoking and drugs are not present in my life

- Optimism. No matter how heavy a crisis is, I always know clearly that it is either created to enhance my inner strength/learn new skills and principles, or it indicates my inadequacy to something and I need to change my thinking and actions to get out from under the pressure of unpleasant circumstances. Therefore, I quickly let go of emotions, and I calmly accept all situations, trying to find opportunities in it

- Also honesty with myself and others, listen to my intuition first, stoicism
01 What is your perspective on life?
My experience with video and 3D graphics has given me a huge overview in a wide range of areas, from the creation of the visual itself: composition, color, etc., to basic knowledge in completely different fields: perfumery, surf equipment, fashion and others. So I observed what specifically resonated with me, and slowly it reconnected into my style/sense of the world

I also received a lot of insight on how to interpret my ideas more clearly.
Each time I worked with video or 3D graphics, I did a decomposition of directions (camera movements, lighting, materials, etc) in order to achieve my tasks. The longer I practiced, the more layers I could decompose a direction into, like materials: warmth, smoothness, transparency, reflection, etc. The more detailed you describe each layer, the more accurate your result
02 How does your background (profession as a videographer and designer) contribute to your work as an artist?

03 Do you follow a particular routine to prepare yourself to work?
I always have tea/water next to me, keep my phone as far away as possible
If I want to create concepts, I do a research with a playlist of songs that emotionally resonate with me, for concept implementation - a playlist of ambient music
As well I can add smells - incense, candles, perfume - for more concentration, if I am in the mood
Also important to me is an overall routine so that there is energy for work in general. Sport + sleep + communication + getting quality emotions + minimizing destructive thoughts + walking + keep an eye on nutrition
04 Who is your favorite artist? Why?
Arca
To me, her work is a mechanism of higher abstraction that is many times more complex than a machine/computer. She finds absolutely organic connections among complex sounds and also interprets herself through them. I often find that I can listen to her in completely different moods, and her music seems to transform to my state of mind and only enhances it.
She has a lot of strength and femininity, which is one of my favorite combinations

I also love the work of Jason Gringler, Daniel Turner, John Gerrard, David Von Bahr, Alexander McQueen, Banks Violette, Raf Simons, Martin Margiela
05 What is the essence of a good art?
For me, good art is always how much the work resonates with me
I believe that the more open you are with your feelings to yourself, the more constructive your introspection and the larger your visual memory, the higher the chances of creating something hat is true and pure
I understand that there are many variations on the theme of good art. And that promoting your work can also be considered a kind of art as well
06 Richard Serra stated: "What interests me is the opportunity for all of us to become something different from what we are, by constructing spaces that contribute something to the experience of who we are". Do you relate to this?
Yes, I do. As well I think that creation and our experiences tell us exactly who we truly are, what is inherent to us and what is an other person's mask that we may have copied when we were formed as a person

07 How does your personality reflected in your art?
08 What does your art represent?
09 Which person inspires you the most?
I don't have a specific person in mind. It is often a combination of personal qualities and skills: constant reflection, deep sensitivity, honesty, self-expression, respect for yourself and others, ambition and inner strength

Endlessly inspired by my sister's dog. So much happiness, transparency, energy and care I haven't seen from anyone else yet
- Lack of color, using white and black at the core - 85% of the time I'm calm, not the person that will be the most active in a company, more like a 71 year old monk from the Tibetan mountains haha
- Making some of the key aspects barely visible - multi-layering
- Creating complex material - sensitivity and complexity in general. I like to rationalize processes, but at the same time I rely a lot on my feelings. I can also be interested in completely different things from patterns in nature, 14th century armor, to building an effective structure in business.
- Image/shape distortions - ambivalence, strong influence of the environment in which I am, visual distortion
- Cold metals and clean shapes in geometry - ability to make decisions without emotion, my inner strength
- Abstraction - the ability to look at a picture of what is happening in general and from multiple angles
It's like problem solving, which is determined by my unconscious/abstract feeling. It is necessary to find a certain combination to more accurately convey this state. Where the elements of this combination can be absolutely everything: materials, form, sound, composition, smell, etc

My biggest goal is with each work to select elements in a way that reinforces each other and increases the immersivity of a work - a complex feeling that strongly resonates
10 What is the most interesting thing about art?
11 Can art change the world?
The most interesting for me that being a viewer or creator, you are always involved. From the emotions evoked by the new form, you begin to understand yourself and others better in the following. It helps you to feel more deeply the environment you are in and to see more than you were able to see before
If we're talking about pop art + quality marketing, definitely yes. If we are talking about art that is difficult to understand, more abstract and built on feelings, then this is something that will not change people massively, but will affect more qualitative on a few people
It depends on the person. As long as he is not ready/not willing to learn something it will be simple and meaningless for him. In the opposite situation, it can become one of the most powerful tools for reflection, sublimation and feeling
12 What role does art play in a person's life?
13 Does accident play a role in the process of creating your work? Or do you like to know the result clearly before you start working on the object?
14 Can you consider you work to be decorative? Or is it always a deep sense behind it?
At the pre-production stage I like to shape the idea as detailed as I can. However, when creating, I always check with my inner feeling/intuition, if something arises that I feel is relevant and will make my work stronger, I will implement it.

The less time that goes by between your actions and results, the more opportunity you have to unconsciously rely on your intuition and find additional solutions that can be many times stronger
There's always my feeling behind them. That's the main reason why I create something. Finding the point where I understand I have found the solution to a problem I have set myself is one of the most satisfying emotions I experience. But of course, they can also have a decorative function, as well as they can also have a deep meaning
